The Grenoside Gala was yet another very successful event. Congratulations to the organising committee and everyone who helped make it a wonderful day. Even the weather could only spare a few drops of rain which did not spoil the fun for anyone.

It's the Great Grenoside Gala this weekend at the Community Centre on Saturday. All help setting up and taking down the stalls is appreciated.

Meetings are held on Tuesdays in the Lower Hall of Grenoside Community Centre, Main Street, Grenoside, starting at 10 a.m. and ending around 12 noon. If you’d like to be put on a waiting list to join our Local History Group, please telephone Estelle on 257 1929. Visitors to our meetings are asked to pay £1.50.

Exhibition 24th and 25th May - Aspects of Grenoside & District
We’re holding an exhibition about life in Grenoside and the surrounding areas on Saturday & Sunday May 24th & 25th 2008 10 am - 4 pm at Grenoside Community Centre. Admission is free. Refreshments will be provided by the Grenoside Gala Committee and the money raised from them will go towards funds for the Gala. When we had our last exhibition 2 years ago so many people said one day wasn’t enough to take in all the fascinating information we’d put together, so this time we’ve spread it over 2 days. Look forward to seeing you there.
